When heavily considering becoming a Pinterest Virtual Assistant (PVA), I reallllly wanted to ensure that I had the qualities that could see long term success. Want to create a lucrative PVA business? It's imperative you embody these 5 simple qualities!:
Just like in almost every career, you need to be organized. I am not by any means naturally organized. This is a skill I work on each day. Creating a foundation and systems will be your saving grace! Everyone has different systems from pen and paper, excel spread sheets to different apps. Some apps I have heard great things about are Trello, Be Focused and Zapier.
You must be a self-starter & the leader of your own business. You will be handling Pinterest for other business owners & you need to take charge of their accounts with confidence. After your initial conversations, you need to take their direction & be able to deliver.
Having your own business means you need to dictate the expectation between you and clients. Typically a good rule of thumb is that you will get back to clients within 24 hours. Owning your own business also means you can be flexible with your schedule, but what it usually means is that you could work 24/7, never setting boundaries for yourself. Make sure that you set the expectation for yourself, as well.
4. Problem Solver!
Most clients don't understand Pinterest as a marketing tool. They will look to you to be the expert to guide them to success.
5. Like Pinterest More Than Most!
This might be the most important! I love me some Pinterest. I could Pin all day long, and find ideas, projects, inspo, you name it! So creating a business around something I already thoroughly enjoy is SUPER important.
Have you found other qualities you need? I'd love to hear your feedback!
